Pullman Tour

The annual Pullman Home Tour will be part of this day that begins with the morning events of the annual conference of the Calumet Heritage Partnership. The featured speaker is Ann Durkin Keating of North Central, one of the editors of the Encyclopedia of Chicago and the author of Chicagoland. Pullman represents a rich example of urban planning, capitalism, industrialization and labor violence. It has been called the beauty of Victorian idealism that came apart. The conference is at Chicago State University.
